Wal was such a wonderful, kind and caring person who had a lifelong passion for his beloved Aston Villa. He was such an independent person and was active until his fall. He found it very hard to understand lockdown and missed his weekly visits from my mom, Pauline and had to make do with me instead! He struggled to accept help from carers but enjoyed chats with them, especially Ali. Wal still maintained his cheeky side and called himself an ‘old man’. He will be sadly missed but will be forever in our hearts . ❤️
